Firstly we would like to congratulate Parmis for winning the title of Kent’s Next Top Model. We would like to thank all those who participated and helped to make it such a great event.
Due to elections there will be No Photography Meeting on Wednesday. However elections will be taking place on the Wednesday instead. Elections will be held in the SHIRLEY BARLOW ROOM (The same room as the first meeting) AT 5 p.m. You must be a signed up member to vote and this meeting is MANDATORY unless you have other commitments. Photography meeting will continue as usual the week after, with there being two days to choose from: Tuesdays (starting from the 20th) at 6:30 p.m. and Wednesdays (stating from the 21st) at 5 p.m. You will only have to come to one meeting per week.
There is a Photoshoot Session on Tuesday, at 7p.m. in Eliot Seminar Room 1. This session is for the models to practice what they learn last week, but photographers interested in shooting the models are asked to attend.

If you are interested in running for a position (all are open to any other candidates) please email ukcphoto@gmail.com with a short paragraph on why you want to run and why you think you would be good for the position. If you are interested but would like more information on the position you are interested in, then feel free to ask. I stress once again that you need to be a PAID UP MEMBER TO VOTE AND/OR RUN FOR A POSITION. In addition, you will not be allowed to join in the workshops from next week.
This week’s competition theme is Hands. To enter your photo into the competition you must have a flickr account. TRIP
There will be a trip this coming weekend to Dover Castle. Both Photogs and Models are welcome to attend as the grounds will make very nice backdrops for a shoot. We will be leaving at 10 a.m. from Canterbury West Station (so please be early), train will cost no more that £7 (without a railcard) and entrance fee is £8 for the castle with student ID.
